2019 Vegan Faire: What Not to Miss

Immensely popular, Healthy Junk’s Vegan Faire returns for its sixth year on Saturday, July 27th from 4:00-10:00pm. Over 100 curated vegan booths and local artisans will represent this year’s theme of “We are the World” along Center Street Promenade. This year’s global theme not only spotlights those who choose to live the vegan lifestyle, but the many ways in which all cultures are intertwined, and how the ideas of sustainability, tolerance, cruelty-free living and togetherness are universal.

In fact, one major goal of the fair is to reach out to those who may not be familiar with vegan food and how diverse and delicious it can be. Healthy Junk Head Chef Lynda Santos emphasized togetherness when sharing her reasons for starting the festival. “We need a community gathering in every city, a coming together,” she says.

“I wanted to bring in new people who might be afraid to try vegan food, that it would be an opportunity for them to see what it’s all about.” she adds. And since vegan and vegetarian food has a long tradition in cultures all over the world, the global theme is fitting.

It extends not only to the food but to the live performances and artisans on hand. A beer garden presented by Anaheim Fall Festival will be open to those 21 and over. Even better, event entrance is free to the public!

While the musical and artisan lineup is still being finalized, Healthy Junk has posted several previews of food vendors on their social media that will be making a presence at the Faire with their own can’t–miss tasty goods. Here are a few not-to-be-missed:
